06 NIGHTS / 07 DAYS KASHMIR TOUR

DAY 01 : Arrival-Srinagar-Pahalgam 5200 ft.
Arrive at Srinagar by air and then proceed to Pahalgam.
The distance of about 96 km will be covered in about 3½ hrs. On arrival at Pahalgam, transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 02 : Pahalgam-Chandanwari-Sheshnag 16 ms +trek*13 kms (App.): 6-7hrs.
Leave Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds) for Chandanwari. Chandanwari (2896 Mts.) is a small shut off valley at the junction of Sheshnag stream.
On arrival at Chandanwari, trekking trip to Sheshnag which is about 13 kms (3576 Mts.). The trail climbs the Pissu Ghati and then climbs gradually to the Sheshnag Lake. Sheshnag is one of the windiest places in this valley. Dinner and overnight stay in tents at Sheshnag.

DAY 03 : Sheshnag-Panchtarni-Amarnath-Panchtarni Trek*17kms +DARSHAN of HOLY CAVE + trek*6kms (App.): 11-12hrs
Start trek from Sheshnag to Panchtarni (3657 Mts.). The trek is through Mahagunas Pass (3200 Mtrs) upto Amarnath cave. Amarnath is only 6 kms away from Panchtarni. Have a dip in the ice-cold water of Amarnath Stream, which flows outside the cave. Inside the cave, there is a scenery of calm tranquility of white and glistering Lingams standing erect as a symbol of Lord Shiva, Parvathi and Ganesh. After darshan, trek back towards Panchtarni. Dinner and overnight stay in Panchtarni.

DAY 04 : Panchtarni To Amarnath Cave-Panchtarni 05 Hours Walk
The actual time to reach the cave will depend on whether one's trek coincides with the main pilgrimage. During the pilgrimage, an early start is essential, since many of the pilgrims move more slowly than on the rest of the yatras, as if in awe of their surround dings. The climb to the Singh Pass (3,850m) is gradual before the trail enters the Amarnath valley. It descends to a permanently blackened snow bridge, which fords the Amarvati stream before ascending right back to the base of the mountain. From here, the final ascent is through a series of concrete steps till the entrance to the Amarnath Cave (4,050m). The J&K police manning the entrance to the cave only permit a limited number of pilgrims inside at any one time.

DAY 05 : Panchtarni-Chandanwari-Pahalgam 16 kms +trek 24 kms
Many pilgrims return from Panchtarni to Chandanwari in one day. Trek down to Chandanwari. On arrival at Chandanwari, drive to Pahalgam. Transfer to hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 06 : Pahalgam-Srinagar
After breakfast, drive towards Srinagar. On arrival, check in at Deluxe Houseboat. After lunch, in second half of the day, you will visit Mugul Garden "Nishat" (The Garden of Pleasure) and "Shalimar" (Abode of All). Drive along the lake side on boulevard. On return, visit the local handicrafts emporium for hand-knotted silk carpets, shawls,and jewelery ornaments. Later in the evening, enjoy 02 - 03 Hours boat ride on Dal Lake by a gondola boat called "SHIKARA". Witness the ride on lake, called Venice of India & experience the aquatic life of Srinagar. Also see the scenic extravaganza of Kashmir and enjoy the profusion of colors in the Paradise on Earth. While returning, visit the local crafts market and see the finely carved hand-made articles of paper machie & wood of a walnut. Overnight stay in the deluxe houseboat.

DAY 07 : Srinagar-Onwards
Timely transfer to airport to catch the flight for onwards destination.

• Accommodation on twin sharing basis on MAP for 01 Night at Deluxe Houseboat - Srinagar
• Non A/C Sumo for transfers to and from Srinagar International Airport.
